EBS Spelling Bee

We’re Excited to bring the Spelling Bee program to EBS!
 
The EBS Spelling Bee will be patterned after the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Our purpose is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. This is a friendly competition open to all students in grades 1st - 5th. Students may earn grade-level prizes, or compete to be the EBS School Champion!

The Spelling Bee 2024 is limited to the School Championship. We hope to expand the program to send our school champion to the Regional Championship next year!
 
First and Second graders will take a spelling test in class and the top students will earn certificates. No action is necessary on the part of the parents.
 
Third, fourth and fifth graders will take a special spelling test in class and the top students will participate in a live Spelling Bee event in the MPR.  Participation is optional.  If you would like your child to participate in the live Spelling Bee, please fill out this form.
